MicroSD storage cards:
MicroSD storage cards. In order to store any photos you take during your photography sessions, you will need an microSD card for them to be saved on. The three listed sizes above are the sizes you will typically need for storage, depending on how many photos you plan to take, and if your camera can also record or not, if you want to record that is. Other sizes, such as 512GB are available, but the listed sizes above will be more than enough for the majority of photographers.
Although some cameras may support using only a microSD card, to store any photos you will more than likely need a microSD adapter to put the microSD in, as the adapters purpose is to allow the microSD to be read if the camera being used doesn’t have a microSD slot that works without needing the adapter. It should be noted though that when buying microSD cards, like the three listed above this, they will usually come with their own microSD adapter. This listing is primarily for if they don’t come with one, or if you already have a microSD card, but no adapter to put it into.
SD Cards:
As an alternative to using a microSD and an microSD adapter for cameras that use SD cards, you can just buy SD cards like the ones listed above, instead of buying a microSD card and an adapter to fit into a SD card slot. SD cards have the same function as microSD cards, they just fit SD card slots without needing adapters. Like with microSD cards, there are larger sizes available than the ones listed above, the listed sizes are just ones that have enough storage for the majority of photographers.
